THE DISTANT OBSERVER

I can't help my self.
I would like to get closer and feel that what I see.
But then again there are things I did not see.

I should have known it was too good to be true.
That such a great soul
would not have a place in someones elses heart.

I feel the great loss.
And for that I do not understand,
how I couldn't obtain
the soul I yearned to touch.

For that I will have to settle.
And fill my souls content
as the distant observer.
